Here’s what’s new in BAREIS Plus.

BAREIS Plus announcement

BAREIS Plus combines and includes all the listings from our six neighboring MLSs including MetroList, San Francisco, Contra Costa, Bay East, Bridge MLS and MLSListings in one convenient login and search feature, in the familiar Rapattoni MLS system you currently use.

You will enjoy a single place to search, a single place to enter listings with specific and unique fields for each marketplace. All searches and listing entry will begin by county and then you’ll proceed as usual after that.

In addition to searches and listing entry, all contacts, prospects, and CMAs will be done in Rapattoni through BAREIS Plus. You’ll no longer need to use Paragon or Matrix.

Field Changes

You may have noticed some changes to the data fields in BAREIS Plus. The new data schema is mapped into the RESO Data Dictionary Standard to make it easier for brokers to receive and distribute their MLS listing data to multiple sites.

Summary of changes to frequently used fields

Contingent Release Status is now Contingent – Show
- with Special Listing Condition – Release Clause
Stories/Levels is now individual fields Stories and Levels
Heat/Cool is now individual fields Heating and Cooling
2nd unit on Lot is now a subtype of 2 Houses on Lot
HOA fields are now relabeled Association

BAREIS Mobile App

The BAREIS Edge mobile app is now the BAREIS Plus mobile app. It should have updated on your phone by now if you have automatic updates enabled. If not, please check your app store for an update.

In some cases, you may need to uninstall BAREIS Edge and then install BAREIS Plus from your Google Play or Apple App Store. If you have any problem installing or running the app, please call our support at 707-575-8000.

How will listing input rules be handled?

Agents are required to follow the rules of the MLS that they belong to. BAREIS members will follow BAREIS rules when listing or searching for property, regardless of property location, except for properties located within the primary service area of Metrolist. If the property is in Sacramento, Placer, El Dorado, Amador, Yolo, Nevada, San Joaquin, Stanislaus or Merced Counties, BAREIS members are required to follow the rules of Metrolist MLS.

If I have a listing located outside BAREIS primary service area, am I required to use a lockbox programmed for the primary MLS in that area or can I use a BAREIS-programmed lockbox?

If you are entering a listing into BAREIS that is located outside BAREIS primary service area (BAREIS primary service area is Sonoma, Marin, Napa, Solano and Mendocino Counties) and you are placing a lockbox to provide agents access to the property, you are required to include a lockbox that is programmed for the primary MLS in the area where the property is located. This requirement is to ensure the real estate professionals working in the area the property is in can show your listing. You can also place other lockboxes, but additional lockboxes are not required.

How do I acquire a lockbox that is programmed for the primary MLS?

Please contact one of the service centers located in or near the location of the property you are listing. Service center locations and contact information are posted here.

How do I co-op my key outside BAREIS Primary area?

BAREIS members can “cooperate” (co-op) their BAREIS Supra key to open lockboxes coded for other MLSs in the NorCal MLS Alliance.

If you are a BAREIS member and you want to program your key to open lockboxes outside of BAREIS primary service area(s), please contact one of the service centers located in or near the area(s) you plan to show properties to obtain their co-op instructions and costs. Please call our office at 707-575-8000 to obtain a Letter of Good Standing from BAREIS.
